Al Tamimi Investments believes in providing opportunities to the greater community. A central part of this is our annual student business plan competition called The Big Start, which provides venture capital and employment opportunities to successful final year students.
The Big Start is a student entrepreneur competition where the winning student(s) will set up and run their own business after they graduate, with the full funding and support from Al Tamimi Investments. The winning student(s) will have a structured shareholding in their business and will be given the title of CEO.
This competition is open to all nationalities from all study faculties. The only entry criterion is that they are a final year undergraduate students enrolled in the UAE. The competition has been designed to take final
year students through a real life experience of an entrepreneur, from the birth of the business idea to writing a business plan and presenting it to an investor, with the ultimate prize of seeing
the business come to life.
